Hello, Iām Kevin Minnick, the Executive Chef at Quincy Country Club. Originally hailing from Dayton, Ohio. After graduating high school I moved to Quincy, Illinois where I spent three years at Quincy University, playing football but also developed a strong sense of teamwork and leadership. I later completed my education at Oklahoma State University, earning a BFA in studio art in 2003.
In late 2004, driven by my passion for cooking, I transitioned into the culinary arts full-time. This journey led me to establish and operate my own restaurant, The Maine Course, for 13 successful years before I joined the Quincy Country Club, where I continue to innovate and elevate the dining experience.
Outside of the kitchen, I cherish quality time with my family; Talia, Judson, Addy, Hudson, and Layden, enjoying activities such as camping, fishing, and playing golf. One of my favorite meals is a comforting dish of ham hocks, beans, and cornbread, which reflects my love for hearty, home-cooked flavors.
